The Finance Assistant will support the accounting and finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations within a regulated financial services environment. Description
* Process and code invoices, expenses, and credit card claims.
* Manage approval workflows and support payment runs.
* Maintain supplier records and assist with treasury tasks.
* Prepare accruals and support accurate financial record-keeping.
* Administer finance policies and manage the Accounts Payable mailbox.
* Support payment automation and general system improvements.
* Assist with year-end, data submissions, insurance renewals, and delegated authority tasks.
* Contribute to risk management as First Line of Defence.
* Promote strong information security practices.
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant will have:
* Knowledge and Experience
* Strong IT skills especially confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Relationship management skills
* Discretion is required as this role will often deal with highly confidential information
* Uses initiative to find solutions and approaches problems with curiosity and an open mind.
* Effective time management skills; able to manage several tasks and conflicting priorities.
* Good knowledge and experience of general insurance desirable but not essential
Job Offer
