Rotherham Council is seeking a motivated and organised Stock Surveying Support Officer to join Housing Property Services, working within the Housing Investment Team.
About The Role
This role provides essential administrative and operational support to the Stock Surveying Team, helping to ensure the effective delivery of stock condition surveying and associated investment programmes across the Councils housing stock.
Working under the supervision of the Stock Surveying Coordinator, you will support a wide range of projects and programmes, including the triage and raising of repairs, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Stock Surveying Team .
Triage survey outcomes and raise remedial repairs where required.
Compile, update, and maintain accurate records, including the management of IT systems and databases .
Check and validate information received to ensure data accuracy.
Liaise with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders, including arranging appointments and maintaining diaries.
Respond to enquiries from other departments relating to stock surveying activities .
Support the introduction of new ways of working to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Assist with the delivery of wider Housing Investment Team workstreams, including:
Fire-damaged properties
Structural works
Environmental works
Tenant alterations
Stock condition surveys

You will be organised, customer-focused, and self-motivated, with strong administrative skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
