Were looking for an Electro Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the electro-mechanical build of our product packages, including engine and forklift truck conversions. Working as part of a small team, youll carry out de-commissioning and re-commissioning work, ensure all builds meet quality and Ex standards, and complete component testing.
This requires strong skills in fault find, wiring, using a range of hand tools, able to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams, suited to someone who has worked in maintenance or engineering, rather than at Operative level.
In addition, you will be required to attend training at our site near Brighton for 4-6 weeks, Monday to Friday lunchtime, fully accommodated and expensed.
What youll need as an Electro Mechanical Assembly Technician
Essential
Experience as an electro-mechanical technician/fitter
Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams
Good numeracy, literacy and basic IT skills
Experience with cranes, manual handling and lifting equipment
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
Proactive, flexible and a strong team player
Willingness to work overtime when required
Desirable
Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
Knowledge of engine build packages
FLT licence (not essential)
Experience in target-driven team environments
Problem-solving skills and awareness of quality and H&S
We offer a basic salary of £31,250 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and a working week of 0700-1530 Monday to Thursday, finishing at 1200 Fridays.
