Financial Reporting Manager

£300–£325 per day (Umbrella)
Distinct is partnering with a large and evolving organisation to recruit an Interim Financial Reporting Manager into a key position within the finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a visible, business-critical role where you will play a central part in driving high-quality financial reporting, technical accounting, and financial control across a complex environment.
Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of internal and external reporting cycles, support audit delivery, and provide technical accounting expertise across the wider business. There is a particular focus on IFRS 16 and lease accounting, making previous experience in this area essential.
This role would suit a technically strong finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
* Deliver accurate management reporting, analysis, and performance insight
* Own balance sheet control and reconciliations
* Support technical accounting matters across the finance function
* Manage audit preparation and stakeholder engagement
* Provide commercial and ad hoc analysis to support decision-making
* Lead and support a small finance team
About You
* Strong background in financial reporting and financial control
* Proven IFRS 16 and lease accounting experience is essential
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Experience supporting or leading audit processes
* Confident partnering with senior stakeholders
* Hands-on, proactive, and able to add value quickly
* Comfortable working in a complex and changing environment
