Youll work closely with the Owner and wider team, supporting a loyal portfolio of SME clients with day-to-day bookkeeping and tax duties. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys client interaction, steady responsibility, and a friendly, flexible environment.

What Youll Be Doing Day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations to trial balance
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Supporting with tax return preparation
Responding to client queries and providing helpful guidance
Liaising with HMRC when required
Informally supporting junior team members and apprentices
What Theyre Looking For At least 3 years in a similar bookkeeping or accounts role
Strong communication and client service skills
Confident using Sage (essential)
Comfortable with bookkeeping, VAT, and tax basics
Willing to be part of a small, collaborative team
The Offer Salary: £28,000£35,000 depending on experience
