Connect Driver Solutions is recruiting a Class 2 Driver for a full-time temporary to permanent position based in Dunbar, covering end-of-life tyre collection routes across Scotland.
Our client is an established waste management business offering consistent Monday to Friday work, your own assigned vehicle from day one and a structured overnight rota.
What's on offer?
* Temporary to permanent opportunity
* Monday to Friday, start times between 4:30am and 6am depending on route
* 14.73 per hour, rising to 19.64 per hour after 48 hours, paid weekly
* 27 overnight allowance - overnights available at least every second week
* Own vehicle assigned from day one
As a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
* Collecting end-of-life tyres from garages, commercial businesses and waste facilities across Scotland
* Manually loading and unloading tyres at collection points and the depot
* Completing all required paperwork including waste transfer notes accurately
* Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects promptly
* Providing a professional and courteous service to customers at all collection points
The ideal Class 2 Driver will have:
* A valid Class 2 licence - new driver's welcome
* Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* A good level of physical fitness due to the manual handling requirements of the role
* Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer interaction
* Strong time management and organisational skills
