What will I be doing?
* Provide dynamic leadership in shaping the future of English and Maths education across Taunton College and the UCS College Group.
* Drive innovation, champion excellence in teaching and learning, and keep English and Maths at the heart of the curriculum to transform lives and support learner progression.
* Lead provision across Education programmes for Young People, Higher Education, Adult Learning, and Apprenticeships, including management of the ESOL offer to meet diverse learner needs.
* Lead curriculum teams and coordinate the operational delivery of provision; work with the Assistant Principal and College Leadership Team to manage departmental performance, KPIs, and financial contribution.
* Develop and implement a robust curriculum plan that supports growth and aligns with local, regional, and national skills priorities.
* Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment and contribute to the college’s strategic aims, climate action, digital transformation, and equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
* Embed effective teaching and learning initiatives and act as a key figurehead within the college leadership.
