Logistics Operator
We are delighted to be assisting our client, a market leading manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Salisbury, in the recruitment of a skilled and dedicated individual to join their growing logistics team. The role is a full-time (42.5 hours per week, M-F), permanent position and is a great opportunity for the right candidate.
Overview
The role of the Logistics Operator is to work within the Logistics Team and alongside the Operations Team to process materials for manufacturing workshops. Working within an extensive production system, the Logistics Operator ensures efficient movement, storage and disposal of goods and materials.

· Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential

Role and Responsibilities
· Work under the direction of the Stock Manager and Logistics Supervisor.
· Work as part of an extensive logistics and production team.
· Transfer of goods in materials, goods for works and stock materials to workshops for manufacturing.
· Unloading of vehicles when returned from customers premises, allocating warehousing space effectively.
· Maintenance and upkeep of company warehousing areas, ensuring good housekeeping.
· Ensure deliveries to Inn Gear are suitably unloaded/received and placed in the appropriate designated areas.
· Collection of items from off site storage and company suppliers as required.
· Help with loading of finished goods onto vehicles, ensuring the goods are loaded and packed in a manner to ensure safe delivery.
· Deliver finished product to client premises as required.
· Disposal of unneeded goods and materials.
· Adhere to health and safety rules and wear protective clothing
