Your New RoleAs an INA, you’ll be providing consistent, one‑to‑one support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and feel secure throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Offering personalised support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs
2. Assisting with learning activities, emotional regulation, and social development
3. Helping the pupil engage positively with classroom routines and expectations
4. Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to implement support strategies
5. Encouraging independence and celebrating progress, big or small
6. Keeping clear records of progress andmunicating regularly with staff and families
This role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping children thrive.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
7. Experience supporting children with additional needs, or a strong desire to learn
8. Apassionate, patient, and positive approach
9. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills
10. The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
11. A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
