Theatre Practitioner- General Surgery

We are recruiting for experienced registered Theatre Practitioners/Theatre Nurses and ODPs with at least two years theatre experience. Our area provides high standard patient care from 11 specialist theatres, 6 day unit theatres, and acute and chronic pain services. Surgical specialties include: Maxillofacial, ENT, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, Upper GI, Colorectal, Breast and plastics, Acutes including Trauma.
Requirements include an active NMC/HCPC pin, passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to patient-centered care. A positive attitude to improvement of patient care through research evidence and willingness to supervise and teach junior staff are also necessary.
Main duties of the job
* Demonstrate and develop clinical assessment skills and prioritize care for patients undergoing surgical/anaesthetic procedures.
* Support patients and families, communicating clinical information effectively.
* Contribute to the development of patient care within operating theatres.
* Prepare and organize clinical areas for patients.
* Safely identify, prepare, check, and assemble equipment required for operating lists.
* Adhere to the NMC/HCPC professional Code of Conduct.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or qualified Operating Department Practitioner.
* Teaching qualification

* Previous theatre experience at Band 5
