We’re partnering with a prestigious institution to find a Fully Qualified Accountant to join their close-knit finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key financial functions including statutory reporting, audit support, investment oversight, and payroll, while contributing to a meaningful mission within a respected and values-led organisation.
? As a Fully Qualified Accountant, you will:
* Lead on the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the year-end audit process
* Provide expert guidance on accounting treatments and uphold strong financial controls
* Support a small transactional finance team across AP, AR, and month-end close
* Contribute to the financial oversight of trusts, endowments, and drawdowns
* Oversee payroll approvals, tax compliance, and employee benefit schemes
* Produce detailed cash flow forecasts and support treasury management
* Work collaboratively across departments to support financial planning and promote value-for-money
? What we’re looking for:
* CCAB-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent)
* Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards (RCCA/UK GAAP)
* Proven experience in financial and management accounting
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems
* Experience supporting or leading small finance teams
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
* Sector experience in education, charity or public sector is desirable
