About the role: To provide an efficient and safe operation of processing equipment, whilst checking quality attribute and specification along with complying with Company Food Safety, Health & Safety, Quality and Hygiene requirements i.e., factory dress code and hand washing procedure. Key responsibilities: Complete prestart checks. (H&S/FS/QA) Ensure there is regular communication with the Line/Process Leader and other team members Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the department’s kit/equipment Complete specification and quality checks as and when required Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures Adhere to all technical and food safety policies and procedures Fault diagnosis and problem solving Liaise with the engineering team when required Carry out machine changeovers when required Conduct line cleaning to required specifications Conduct a thorough handover and takeover during each shift Start-up & shut down the line in accordance with procedures Train other/new team members when required, (upon achieving the relevant competency) Learn other plant and equipment when requested Key Ingredients for suitable candidates include: Essential Requirements: English Communication Skills - Ability to speak, read, and understand English to follow instructions, adhere to safety procedures, and communicate effectively with team members. Basic Numeracy - Capable of performing simple calculations to support operational tasks Attention to Detail - Skilled in monitoring processes, identifying inconsistencies, and accurately completing documentation, including recording checks and line operations Hygiene Awareness - Committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment Machine Operation - Experience operating machinery and a basic understanding of mechanical processes is beneficial, though full training will be provided. Desirable but Not Essential: Quality Focus - Dedicated to maintaining high standards throughout production to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations. Time Management - Able to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Problem-Solving Skills - Quick thinking and resourcefulness to resolve operational challenges.
