Overview
HIOWH Children’s Therapy Service is expanding its integrated therapy service and is looking for newly qualified Occupational Therapists to join a friendly and innovative team across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Location
Roles are based in the North and Mid Hampshire area (Basingstoke, Winchester, Aldershot), Southampton and South West area (Southampton, Eastleigh) and Portsmouth and South East Hants area (Fareham, Portsmouth).
What We Do
The service provides an integrated model of care with speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and podiatry. Therapy is delivered in children’s homes, pre‑school settings, children’s centres, mainstream schools, special schools and community clinics, working as part of multi‑agency teams with health care professionals, educators, social care colleagues and equipment providers.
Responsibilities
* Assess, plan and deliver occupational therapy interventions to children aged 0‑19 with physical disability, functional challenges, eating and drinking skills, speech, language and communication needs.
* Work within a multi‑agency team to set and achieve therapy goals for children and their families.
* Provide clinical supervision and participate in joint working opportunities with colleagues across the service.
* Attend regular peer supervision meetings and contribute to professional training and update days.
Qualifications & Experience
* Newly qualified Occupational Therapist or recent postgraduate qualification.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
