<div><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Take an active role in improving students’ skills, promoting independence and self‑esteem and supporting their integration into the mainstream.</li><li>Conduct screenings and testing with students, creating bespoke programmes for individuals and small groups and ensuring that interventions and resources are appropriate, challenging and engaging.</li><li>Develop and deliver student interventions, including EAL interventions through the Flash Academy platform, creating bespoke programmes for individuals and small groups, ensuring that appropriate support is provided to improve attainment in reading, writing and speaking for EAL students.</li><li>Assess, record and report on students’ progress working closely with teachers and other professionals and providing specialist knowledge and advice.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Attained GCSE grade 4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) as a minimum.</li><li>Either a Teaching Assistant Level 4 qualification or at least 2 years of significant experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant at Level 3 within an educational setting – ideally at secondary level.</li></ul><h3>Working Hours and Salary</h3><ul><li>Hours: 30 hours per week, term time plus 1 week (to be worked on INSET days).</li><li>Grade: D – £19,718 – £22,541 p.a. (actual salary after adjustment for working hours and term‑time working: £27,254 – £31,022 p.a.
