The Role
We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role will be based in our Thirsk manufacturing plant.
On Offer:
* £21.94 per hour (Including Shift Allowance) (£49,058 per annum)
* 43.2 hours per week (24/7 Dupont shift pattern) Days and Nights 12 hour shifts
* Hourly rate with overtime - Paid monthly
Shift Model Explanation:
The Dupont schedule follows a four-week cycle. Colleagues switch between day and night shifts, often within the same week, working 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am, for three or four consecutive days. Workdays are interspersed with one to three days off, plus a block of seven days off during the cycle.
Please note: There are no public transport routes to our factory, so you will need your own transport!

The Role of Maintenance Engineer
To establish and maintain safe, compliant, and effective engineering operations, developing the site’s asset base through proactive work and breakdown response.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform planned and predictive maintenance and ad hoc repairs to ensure efficient production.
* Manage spares inventory, ensuring critical spares are stocked appropriately.
* Maintain a safe environment, conducting all activities with minimal risk and championing safety.
* Use root cause analysis to prevent breakdown re-occurrences.
* Support energy reduction and sustainability initiatives.
* Participate in review sessions to drive site improvements.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Experience in a similar role.
* Qualified or time-served in Mechanical and Electrical engineering.
* Experience with CMMS, Reliability Management (FMECA, RCM, Tribology, CBM, TPM).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* NEBOSH (desirable), Legionella and HACCP awareness (desirable), PLC experience (desirable).
