The School
Psychology is an ambitious and growing department within the School of Education, Language and Psychology. Our research strengths include cognitive and developmental psychology, neurodiversity, and clinical and forensic applications. Over 70% of our research outputs and 100% of impact were rated world leading or internationally excellent in REF2021. The department boasts dedicated labs and advanced technical support.
Role
We are seeking to appoint a 12‑month fixed‑term Lecturer in Psychology, with expertise in an area of quantitative psychology (e.g., cognitive, biological, or applied psychology), to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will demonstrate a research profile aligned with our departmental strengths and will teach across the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, deliver small‑group workshops and large‑group lectures, supervise research students, assess and give feedback, and provide pastoral and academic support to students.
Key Requirements
* Hold a doctorate at point of application.
* Have a growing or established research profile aligned with departmental strengths.
* Teach across the British Psychological Society Curriculum, including foundation year and postgraduate provision.
