Role Summary You will plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and well-structured lessons, create a positive learning environment, and ensure all teaching meets College expectations as well as awarding-body and regulatory requirements. Alongside delivering excellent classroom practice, you will contribute to curriculum development, provide academic and pastoral support, and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain outstanding standards of achievement, retention and progression. A strong commitment to professional development is essential to ensure an excellent learner experience Key Responsibilities Teaching, Learning and Assessment Deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive teaching across a range of methods Complete planning, marking, feedback and all related administration Provide academic and pastoral support, including Personal Tutor duties Ensure learners understand expectations and receive regular, constructive feedback Support induction, reviews and (where relevant) work placements Set, assess and record assignments in line with College and awarding-body requirements Contribute to curriculum design, development and continuous improvement Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, assessment and destinations Help maintain a high-quality learning environment and identify resource needs Engage in evaluation, self-assessment and quality improvement activities Other Responsibilities Work effectively within the teaching team and contribute to College initiatives Participate in school liaison, open events, parents' evenings and employer engagement Maintain links with employers, assessors, moderators and awarding bodies Support admissions and progression processes Take part in appraisal, observations and quality enhancement activities Undertake ongoing CPD to maintain subject expertise Contribute to committees, working groups and cross-College projects Please refer to the job description for more detailed points about the role.
