Elevation Recruitment are working with a leading UK engineering manufacturer to recruit a skilled Hydraulic, Electrical & Mechanical Fitter to join their growing team. You’ll be responsible for assembling, installing, and testing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems across a range of industrial machinery.
Shift: Monday to Friday (35 hour working week)Salary: £32,000 (£17.57 per hour) Location: Barnsley
What you’ll be doing
* Assemble, install and test hydraulic, electrical and mechanical components
* Wire hydraulic power packs and connect motors, pumps and valves
* Install electrical components including relays, sensors, switches and control panels
* Work with PLC systems and hydraulic schematics
* Pressure test hydraulic cylinders and troubleshoot faults
* Maintain accurate build and repair records to comply with safety standards
* Collaborate with engineers to improve efficiency and reliability
What we’re looking for
* Experience in hydraulic, electrical or mechanical fitting
* Ability to read technical drawings and schematics (preferred)
* Excellent attention to detail and precision workmanship
* Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
* Team player with good communication
* Competent with hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments
* Commitment to health and safety
