Regulatory Specialist Role
The regulatory specialist is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance for the CCM European business. Key functions include developing and managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensuring compliance with applicable UK and EU regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Authoring and managing SDS for CCM-E in accordance with UK and international regulations.
2. Ensuring compliance with regulations related to CCM-E, including UK and EU REACH, GB and EU CLP, and PIC.
3. Compiling Poison Centre Notifications Dossiers and maintaining compliance with Member State requirements.
4. Monitoring chemicals used for risk analysis concerning future regulatory actions or restrictions.
5. Advising logistics teams on compliance with dangerous goods legislation for transportation.
6. Managing relationships with consulting firms on regulatory matters.
7. Collaborating with R&D teams on regulatory reviews of new materials or product developments.
8. Working with supply chain teams on vendor relationships to obtain regulatory information.
9. Utilizing the Carlisle Operating System (COS) in relevant tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Toxicology, or a related field, with 10 years of relevant regulatory compliance experience.
* Alternatively, a Master's or PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Toxicology, or a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Functional understanding of GHS/REACH standards and SDS authoring for UK and international regulations.
* Experience in preparing and submitting compliance paperwork for GB HSE and EU ECHA regulations.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across US and European teams.
* Experience with Sphera Intelligent Authoring software is a plus.
