The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and production, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Support senior chefs in food production tasks, including chopping, marinating, and plating.
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure all ingredients are available for service.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment.
Skills
* Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Leadership qualities with an interest in supervising junior staff as needed.
* Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks during peak service times.
* A passion for cooking and a desire to learn from experienced chefs.
