Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division has extensive experience in the specialist, highly regulated nuclear, transport (road and rail), process industries and power and energy sectors. Providing award winning design teams, utilising state-of-the-art design software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer customers value engineering. This gives a mix of proven success along with modern, innovative design and fabrication ideas to be able to provide a quality, specialised service to a growing market. Vacancy Details
In the Fabricator position you will be working daily as part of a busy production team, interpreting detailed fabrication drawings utilising BIM as required and setting out complex fabrications in accordance with the build method statement. Components will then be tack welded into place, and components will be profiled using Oxy/Propane cutting equipment.
The steel components that you will be handling are heavy and you will be using cranes to lift, turn and manoeuvre these parts. You will work to tight production deadlines and carry out self-inspection of the fabricated parts. At Severfield maintaining a safe working environment has always been key to our success and therefore all successful candidates will be able to give examples of excellent Health and Safety in previous positions.
We are looking for candidates that come from on you should be a time-served fabricator or possess the equivalent fabrication standards through experience. Qualified experience with welding would also be advantage. We are also looking for extensive experience of structural steelwork fabrication, ideally having worked in a similar working environment.
