Role Overview We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. This role is both hands-on and supervisory, requiring a strong technical background alongside proven people management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant performance in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment Work hands-on to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime Lead, support, and develop a team of engineers, ensuring high performance and engagement Manage and prioritise workloads in a high-pressure production environment Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), ideally SAP Raise, track, and close work orders through SAP, ensuring data accuracy and compliance Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and company procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members Technical Requirements Ideally multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical competencies Experience working with high-pressure systems, including steam and compressed air Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities Experience within a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred Skills & Experience Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled engineering role Previous experience in a people management or supervisory position is essential Hands-on approach with a willingness to lead by example Experience using CMMS systems, preferably SAP Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong communication and organisational skills Qualifications Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent) Electrical qualifications (e.g., 17th/18th Edition) essential
