Abbeywood Community School is excited to announce a wonderful opportunity for an exceptional Part time History Teacher to become a valued member of our vibrant and collaborative Humanities team. This is a fixed term position, beginning on 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2026, working 0.4 FTE.
We would strongly encourage applications from individuals who would be able to teach RS to KS3 or KS4. There is a strong, enthusiastic network of Humanities Teachers across the Olympus Academy Trust who meet regularly to develop curriculum and share resources. We would also encourage applications from ECT's with RS qualifications.
The post holder will be passionate about history and will be able to deliver exciting and engaging opportunities for learning across all year groups. They should have a strong sense of team work, a willingness to contribute to innovative curriculum development and a desire to improve their own and the faculty’s practice.
Abbeywood is part of a large and successful family of schools. The Olympus Academy Trust (OAT) is a partnership of schools, currently comprising nine South Gloucestershire schools; one all-through, three secondary and five primary academies. There are plentiful opportunities for cross Trust CPD as part of this role.
