We’re looking for a compassionate, committed individual to join a nurturing emotional wellbeing home as a Childrens Residential Support Worker. About the Role This role is part of a unique and forward-thinking initiative, delivered in partnership with a leading children's charity and the local County Council. The aim: to provide high-quality, therapeutic residential care for some of Leicestershire’s most vulnerable children and young people. Based in Coalville, the home supports up to three young people aged 8–18. You’ll help create a stable, supportive environment that encourages growth, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. Flexibility is essential, as occasional cover may be required at similar homes in Hinckley and Syston. What You’ll Do * Build strong, nurturing relationships that support independence and emotional resilience * Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals * Assist with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe home * Accurately maintain care records and documentation * Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are consistently upheld ✅ What We’re Looking For * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve it within set timeframe – fully funded) * A genuine desire to make a difference in young lives * A sound understanding of safeguarding practices * Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays * Experience with children or young people is an advantage, but not essential—attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most Interested?
