We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead the growth of our portfolio within the UK sports nutrition wholesale and independent retail channel. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales volume, distribution, and revenue growth across key wholesale partners and independent retailers. This role requires a strong understanding of the UK sports nutrition and FMCG wholesale landscape, along with proven experience developing relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and independent retail accounts. Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Growth Deliver sales growth across the UK wholesale and independent retail channels. Drive volume distribution and repeat sales within existing wholesale partners. Identify and secure new wholesale and distribution opportunities across the UK market. Wholesale & Distributor Management Build and manage relationships with key UK sports nutrition wholesalers including: Tropicana | Muscle Finesse | Protein Bargain | Dolphin Fitness | SUGRO Negotiate pricing, promotions, and commercial agreements with partners. Develop strategic account plans to maximise distribution and sell-through. Independent Retail Development Expand presence within independent sports nutrition stores, gyms, and specialist retailers. Conduct regular field visits to build relationships and support retail partners. Implement in-store promotions, merchandising initiatives, and product launches. Market Development Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing within the UK sports nutrition sector. Provide feedback on product opportunities, pricing strategy, and promotional activity. Identify new channel opportunities including gyms, fitness studios, and regional distributors. Commercial Planning & Reporting Produce accurate sales forecasts and account performance reports. Track KPIs including volume growth, distribution gains, and account profitability. Work closely with marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Wholesale revenue growth Increase in distribution points Sales volume through wholesale partners New account acquisition within independent retail Account retention and repeat orders Candidate Profile Essential 3 years’ experience in sales within sports nutrition, supplements, or FMCG. Strong network and understanding of the UK sports nutrition wholesale market. Proven track record managing wholesale or distributor accounts. Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. Self-motivated with strong commercial awareness. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Preferred Existing relationships with UK sports nutrition wholesalers such as: Tropicana Wholesale Muscle Finesse Wholesale Protein Bargain Wholesale Dolphin Fitness SUGRO UK Experience working with independent supplement retailers and gym chains. Knowledge of the UK sports nutrition consumer and product landscape. Personal Attributes Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for growth. Confident communicator with strong influencing skills. Highly organised and able to manage multiple accounts. Passion for fitness, health, and sports nutrition.
