The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and discipline leadership to the Manufacturing Engineering Function within Operations at Thompson Aero Seating. This will include delivering the long-term ME organisation/processes improvements to improve NPI/ Industrialisation and implementation of robust Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Quality systems and processes. Responsibilities Leadership and development of the Manufacturing Engineering team to become a high performing function Responsibility for the development and execution of the New Product Introduction process in the Operations sphere (ME, QE, Manufacturing and Assembly roles) Provide technical direction and leadership in support of: Manufacturing Bill of Materials and all Manufacturing Standard Work Industrialisatin activities across the TAS business units CCP and Change cntrol Manufacturing prcess flow development MES and ERP develpment DFMA APQP To help the product introduction teams to identify risks and develop mitigation plans for current product introduction programs to avoid failures in qualification and service and to ensure that the equipment is rate capable and achieving the target cost.
