The role

Grade D SCP 6 £25,989- SCP 11 £28,142 | Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week. | Essential Qualification: NVQ Administration Level 3 or equivalent OR proven experience of working in an administrative role. | Interview date: TBC. | For further information about this role, contact Sara Hassall (Sara.hassall@bolton.gov.uk).

Interview process includes a keyboard test.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Administrator to join the ‘Bolton Family’ and be a part of our administration team supporting the Early Help Service. Early Help provides targeted support to children and their families by bringing workers together from services, including Health, Education and Emotional well‑being. You will join a committed team who are proud of the service they deliver to help children, young people and families achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Process Early Help requests and log details on our Case Management System (CMS).
  • Update relevant service trackers.
  • Organise and take complex minutes at meetings.
  • Manage mailbox and actions on the CMS.
  • Maintain system databases.
  • Routine archiving.
  • Order goods and services for the team and distribute petty cash.

You will work closely with the Early Help colleagues and training will be given to support your successful integration into the role.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to plan, develop and prioritise work.
  • Accurate literacy skills to collate and process correct information.
  • Good system skills and experience with computer software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience handling cash, recording and monitoring payments in line with financial procedures.
  • Experience taking comprehensive minutes at conferences or multi‑agency meetings.
