The Role
* Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on specialism
* Delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons that develop design thinking
* Supporting pupils with NEA, coursework, and examination preparation
* Promoting creativity, technical precision, and problem-solving skills
* Ensuring workshop health & safety compliance and risk assessment procedures
* Monitoring pupil progress and implementing targeted strategies to raise attainment
* Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
* Supporting enrichment activities such as STEM initiatives or design competitions
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in Design & Technology or a related discipline
* Experience teaching DT at secondary level
* Strong workshop knowledge and health & safety awareness
* High expectations for pupil engagement and achievement
* A proactive, organised, and collaborative teaching approach
