Project Accountant – 6-month contract Your new company A long-standing organisation in the South West is undertaking a significant financial project following the sale of several property assets. With decades of operational history, the business is now seeking a Project Accountant to support the reconstruction of financial records and documentation related to capital works and fixed assets. Your new role You’ll play a key role in rebuilding and validating financial data using archived spreadsheets, scanned documents, and legacy accounting systems. The focus will be on analysing historical costs associated with property development and creating a clear audit trail for fixed assets. You’ll work closely with internal staff, though the role requires a high level of autonomy and will be based fully on-site due to the nature of the archives. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in accounting, ideally with exposure to Sage 50 or similar systems. Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting and property-related cost tracking. AAT qualification or QBE (Qualified by Experience). Ability to work independently and manage large volumes of historical data. Willingness to work on-site in a rural location (travel must not be a barrier). What you'll get in return A 6-month fixed-term contract with weekly pay.
