This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, part time ( position commencing Term 1, 2026, with possible extension and/or permanency

Armadale Senior High School (SHS) is a unique and dynamic high school nestled at the base of the Darling Ranges situated 40km from Perth. As an Independent Public School, Armadale SHS seeks to aspire, strive and achieve in all areas of performance, student engagement and academic achievement. The Role

Armadale SHS is seeking a motivated and innovative instructional leader to appoint to the role of Program Coordinator – Targeted Teaching (Literacy and Numeracy). The successful applicant will provide leadership in developing and implementing whole-school literacy and numeracy intervention programs.

The Program Coordinator – Targeted Teaching should have strong professional knowledge of evidence based, data driven literacy and numeracy strategies. Making targeted use of student achievement data, they will design and develop whole school strategies that are responsive to student needs, promote student engagement and improve learning outcomes. The successful applicant should have a thorough understanding of diagnostic testing as well as possess excellent data analysis skills.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Program Coordinator – Targeted Teaching will work with collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to implement whole-school intervention programs. The successful applicant will ideally possess a strong understanding of how to implement and embed highly effective programs on a whole-school level. Using their effective interpersonal communication skills, the successful applicant will be committed to implementing specialised education programs as well as supporting teachers in the enhancement of pedagogical practice.

Applicants who have experience with literacy intervention, numeracy intervention, explicit instruction, instructional strategies for engagement and supporting colleagues to improve their pedagogical practices are encouraged to apply. Experience in participating and leading, instructional rounds and coaching will also be well-regarded.
