Overview
Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor – Cyber Security (Management & Humanities) at UNSW Canberra. This is a full-time continuing appointment located at UNSW Canberra, City Campus. The role may commence in 2025 or 2026.

* Remuneration: Level C from $155,403; Level D from $185,917 plus 17% super
* Location: UNSW Canberra, City Campus
Responsibilities
These positions will increase the school’s teaching, research, and industry engagement capacity. The successful candidates are expected to be leaders in their field, and to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, industry engagement, and academic administration including program and course development, management and delivery, students’ wellbeing, quality assurance, high impact research output, competitive research or project grant successes and community engagement. The position reports to the Head of Canberra School of Professional Studies. These new appointments will bring relevant scholarly and/or industry expertise from other disciplines such as Business, Social Sciences, Law, Governance, Public Policy, Ethics, and other human-centred domains of Cyber Security. Specifically, we are looking for academics who operate at the intersections of Management, Governance, Policy, Ethics, Risk, Crisis Leadership, Business Continuity and/or Leadership and Cyber Security.
Qualifications
Senior Lecturer (Level C)
* A PhD in a related discipline with relevant teaching and course development experience.
* Evidence of currency within discipline area through research output, professional development and or industry experience.
* Evidence of research output through high impact publications in the field.
* Demonstrated evidence of attracting external competitive research funding.
* Demonstrated experience in leading teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
* Experience leading the implementation and or using educational technologies including online delivery platforms.
* Demonstrated experience with industry or work-integrated learning practices.
* Ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in research, learning and teaching.
* Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.
Associate Professor (Level D)
* In addition to Level C skills and experience: Leadership in building collegiality and engagement within and outside the organisation.
* Strong community engagement through contributions to local, national or global communities through building partnerships with industries, with Government or with other organisations.
* Contribution to the profession and/or discipline through academic society roles, engagement in governance of professional bodies; editing, refereeing, evaluation of research etc.
* National and international competitive grant success and leadership.
* Academic administration and staff management or mentoring.
* High impact research output through high ranked publications relative to opportunity.
* HDR supervision.
* Educational Leadership through program management and success.
