Support Workers - Early Action - Children's Social Work - Shetland Family Centre

The main purpose of the Early Action Support Worker is to identify families that need support at the earliest opportunity in order to build their strengths and help them overcome issues. The Early Action service is developing a model of practice that involves a ‘Whole Family’ approach that will utilise motivational conversation skills and will measure progress.
\n
The purpose of the role will be to support families to build capacity, resilience and independence so that they are able to have the best start or are able to overcome issues before they become too serious that specialist of statutory services are needed.

* The grade of this post is H
\n
* Salary shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,859 per annum (pro rata)
\n
* 3 x Temporary Full Time posts for 37.0 Hours per Week, 52.18 weeks per year
\n
* Temporary contracts for a period of approximately 22 months (with the likelihood of extension, dependent on funding)
\n
* Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
\n
* A relocation package does not apply to this post
\n
* We will pay interview expenses from within Shetland
\n
* You must have the ability to travel throughout Shetland at short notice and where public transport is limited
\n
