Key Responsibilities
* Commissioning: Lead commissioning delivery for allocated projects, bringing new assets into operation and working alongside multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure alignment with scope and timelines.
* Documentation: Produce and sign off on Commissioning Documentation (including commissioning plans, sequences, RAMS, and ITPs) and ensure all Design Documentation (including electrical drawings, P&IDs and system architecture) is updated and finalised to as‑built versions.
* Systems Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, and Instrumentation and Control Systems.
* Site Readiness: Lead Worksite Readiness Reviews and coordinate activities with clients and subcontractors, including FAT, SAT and client witness test activities.
* ICA & Automation: Direct the commissioning of Instrumentation, Drives and MCCs, PLC and HMI systems, ensuring full ICA Combined functionality.
* Project Coordination: Actively communicate and engage in collaborative commissioning meetings, report progress and assess the impact of changes through effective Project Coordination & Communication.
* HSE & Compliance: Enforce strict Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) rules.
About You
* Electrical competence: Authorised to work with systems up to 400v and a strong grasp of electrical fundamentals and fault finding.
* Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of MEICA systems, PLCs, MCCs, and a wide range of instrumentation (pressure, flow, quality), supported by technical qualifications in relevant engineering subjects and practical experience commissioning these systems.
* Problem‑Solving: Problem‑Solving & Diagnostics skills to identify and resolve complex system faults during the commissioning phase.
* Full UK Driving Licence with use of own vehicle for work.
* BS7671 (18th Edition) IET Wiring Regulations.
* Experience acting as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) or Appointed Person (AP).
* DSEAR awareness or CompEx certification.
* CSCS / ECS Card and SSSTS / SMSTS.
* Experience with industrial networks (Profibus / Profinet).
* Experience with end‑to‑end testing of telemetry systems.

Working Arrangements
You will typically work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is required, as some evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
The role will involve a mix of office and site‑based work, with regular travel and occasional time away from home depending on project requirements.
