Murphy is recruiting for a Design Coordinator - MAE to work with Murphy Applied Engineering.
Our engineering teams represent a multi-disciplined range of skills, adding value across sectors, and pushing the boundaries of digital construction, engineering innovation, and design to deliver intelligent, sustainable, and economical solutions.
Under Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house teams include civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical, and process engineers. They design both permanent and temporary works for projects across locations and are trusted advisors for Murphy colleagues and external clients.
A day in the life of a Murphy Design Coordinator
1. Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, and schedules.
2. Facilitating project meetings and ensuring agendas are followed.
3. Assisting in the development of project budgets and tracking expenses.
4. Serving as a liaison between project team members, stakeholders, and clients.
5. Communicating project updates, progress, and potential issues to relevant parties.
6. Ensuring clear and timely communication within the project team.
7. Tracking project progress against timelines and budgets.
8. Identifying potential risks and issues and proposing solutions.
9. Ensuring adherence to project quality standards and best practices.
10. Managing project-related tasks, such as scheduling meetings, sending reminders, and preparing reports.
11. Assisting with procurement and resource allocation.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage project timelines effectively.
* Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
* Ability to work effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
* Understanding of project budgets and ability to track expenses.
* Experience in the design and delivery of high voltage transmission and distribution substation projects is beneficial but not essential.
