Senior Occupational Therapist (band 6) - Rheumatology /hands

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to become a key part of our dynamic multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job
You will perform specialist therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex needs, to provide diagnosis, develop, and deliver individualised treatment programme
You will have a good knowledge of anatomy, physiology and awareness of long term health condition
You will be actively involved in the implementation of specific changes to practice and protocol
You will have strong communication skills both written and verbal .
You will support the organisational objectives around prioritising patient centred care and optimising quality care and patient experience; as well as supporting patient flow through the organization

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Degree in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Accredited student educator from UK-based higher education institution
Skills and Ability
* oEvidence of ability to demonstrate carrying a complex OT caseload in clinical settings
* oAbility to evidence competencies in clinical practice - for example (but not limited to) - moving and handling, cognitive assessment, hand/upper limb assessment etc
* Member of relevant RCOT special interest group or equivalent ce valid for UK use.
Knowledge, Training and Experience
* 12 months experience working as a qualified OT in the UK
* Demonstrable evidence of relevant clinical experience at band 5/band 6 level in the UK
* Evidence of supporting junior staff/students as part of current /recent role NHS Experience in specialist area
