Pay and Reward Officer
Contract: 3 months
Location: UK (1 day onsite in London, Bristol or Manchester)
Rate: £350 inside ir35
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Pay and Reward Officer to support the development and delivery of pay and reward strategies for a large digital and data workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to influence pay frameworks and reward initiatives that impact thousands of professionals across government.
What You'll Do
* Conduct market pay analysis to inform future business cases for senior roles, cyber roles, and digital/data positions.
* Research UK employment practices on bonuses and non-pay benefits to shape profession-led reward approaches.
* Review and analyse departmental business cases for adopting or extending pay frameworks.
* Perform spreadsheet analysis of departmental data and savings estimates.
* Support departments with implementation preparation and capability assessments.
* Build and maintain documentation libraries and management information related to pay and reward.
* Deputise for the pay and reward lead in meetings when required.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in designing and delivering pay and reward initiatives or projects.
* Strong knowledge of pay benchmarking tools and workforce analytics.
* Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement and building trusted relationships.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
* Ability to communicate complex pay and reward strategies in a clear, accessible way.
