The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Skilled Polisher/Fettler Engineer to join a small, focused polishing team within a long-established and respected engineering manufacturer.
This is a hands-on role, working primarily on stainless steel finishes including satin, mirror, shot blast, and scotch-brite. You’ll work both in the polishing shop and on larger machinery outside of the workshop, with occasional customer site visits for equipment installation.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Polish and fettler stainless steel components and machinery to a high standard.
* Work with satin, mirror, shot blast, and scotch-bright finishes.
* Operate in a small polishing department and collaborate with a team of metal polishing engineers.
* Work on large machinery outside the polishing shop as required by the size of equipment.
* Assist with on-site installation and finishing of machinery for customers when necessary.
* Maintain safe and clean working practices in a workshop environment with extraction systems.
What You’ll Need
Must-Haves:
* Experience in stainless steel polishing and fettling.
* Skilled in satin, mirror, shot blast, and scotch-bright finishes.
* Able to work on large machinery in workshop and on-site environments.
* Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
* Reliable and flexible, with the ability to work as part of a small team.
Working Hours & Pay
* Monday: 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.00 pm
* Tuesday: 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm
* Wednesday/Thursday: 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 5.00 pm
* Friday: 7.30 am – 12 noon (unless working overtime)
Pay: £13.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Overtime may be available as required.
