Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of early childhood education. This role requires someone who is enthusiastic about fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and development while leading a team of childcare professionals.
Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare.
* Lead, mentor, and support staff to create a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that encourage children's learning and development.
* Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Ensure the nursery is a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
* Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of nursery staff.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the nursery operates efficiently.
* Foster positive relationships with local community organisations to enhance nursery services.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in management within a childcare setting or similar environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is essential.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation as required.
