How you'll make an impact As a Level 1 Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our clients and customers receive the best possible service. You’ll authorise repair estimates, review invoices, and provide regular updates to drivers and policyholders. Your day-to-day will involve working closely with field engineering companies, managing vehicle salvage instructions, and processing total loss vehicles for settlement. You’ll also have the chance to mentor and guide other team members, sharing your expertise and helping them grow. With your strong planning skills and technical knowledge, you’ll ensure that every task is completed efficiently and to the highest standard. Additional responsibilities include: Managing the engineering mailbox and responding to initial telephone enquiries. Issuing standard correspondence and supporting the processing of engineers' reports. Staying informed about new technologies and industry trends to enhance your work. About You We’re looking for someone with a strong background in bodywork or mechanical disciplines, ideally with knowledge of current estimating systems and modern motor vehicle repair methods. While qualifications like ATA, IAEA, or IMI are a plus, they’re not essential. You’ll need to be self-motivated, flexible, and dedicated, with excellent planning and prioritisation skills. Proficiency in computer applications and a commitment to meeting deadlines are also important.
