Job summary:
Join Rapid Response Ambulance this summer as we seek Event Medical Staff of varying skill levels to support events across the Midlands and the UK. From advanced first aiders working at small, low-risk community events to large teams of multidisciplinary medical staff managing crowds in temporary medical centres, this role offers diverse experiences in event medical services. Main duties of the job
As a member of the event medical team, your primary focus will be delivering pre-hospital care to those who become ill or injured at events of all sizes.
Compliance and Onboarding:
We are a CQC regulated service provider. As such, we require candidates to complete our full induction and onboarding processes, which will include:
* Evidence of qualifications and/or training
* Clinical validation assessment
* Full enhanced DBS check (adults and children) [you may need to pay for this if you cannot provide appropriate evidence]
* References and work history
* Health declaration and immunisation history
* Professional registration check (where applicable)
Responsibilities
* Apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of your clinical scope of practice
* Capable of working alone as a solo first responder and confident working as part of a team
* Respond promptly, calmly, and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency requests
* Administer basic life support to patients at the scene in a pre-hospital/pre-transport setting in accordance with your clinical scope of practice
* Assess the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses to establish and prioritise medical procedures
* Complete patient care forms, insurance forms, evaluation forms, and any other required documentation competently and on time
* Clean, organise, and restock supplies to ensure they are ready for use
* Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical care requests at events and assist event staff with general tasks
* Handle radio communications professionally, respecting confidentiality at all times
* Work cooperatively with other agencies, including event staff, volunteers, security teams, ambulance services, and participants
* Conduct yourself in a professional, courteous, and pleasant manner at all times
About you:
You will be a team player with a friendly and professional attitude, capable of dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public courteously and helpfully. You are passionate about delivering high-quality care and service and are driven to contribute positively to the team. You possess good communication skills, both verbal and written and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.
You will be proactive in participating in mandatory training (e-learning) and any relevant training for your role. You will also ensure that all certifications and/or registrations are up to date and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the current standards of care, including the functions and uses of applicable equipment.
You must be flexible, as the work schedule may vary, and shift times may change depending on the nature of the event. You will ensure infection prevention and control measures are maintained and adhere to quality assurance standards.
You must be physically fit as this is a demanding role which requires you to be on your feet for sometime.

* Doctors (GMC registered with a licence to practise)
* Nurses (NMC registered) with acute/emergency setting experience
* Emergency Care Practitioners
* Paramedics (HCPC registered) (Full UK driving licence held for over 12 months essential)
* Associate Ambulance Practitioners (AAP) (Full UK driving licence held for over 12 months essential)
* Emergency Medical Technicians (IHCD) (Full UK driving licence held for over 12 months essential)
* Emergency Ambulance Crew (NHS/SJA/BRC/FREC 5)
* Emergency Care Assistants (NHS/FREC 4 with valid RCUK ILS certificate) (Full UK driving licence held for over 12 months essential)
* First Responders/Urgent Care Assistants (FREC 3/FPOS) (Full UK driving licence held for over 12 months essential)
* Ambulance Care Assistants (NHS/BLS/FAAW/AED) (Full UK driving licence held for over 12 months essential)
* First Aiders (First Aid at Work/AED/Medical Gases)
* Student Paramedics

Salary's
This role attracts varied hourly rates depending on experience and clinical grade. Starting rate for First Aiders of £12.45 PH
