The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineer to join an expanding team in Bristol as the Civils Team Lead. This is a great opportunity to join the business help guide and nurture the Civil Engineering department. The position will suit an ambitious Senior or Principal looking to take the step into a more managerial role.
Responsibilities
* Liaising concisely with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders, attending client meetings and site visits
* Managing the production of technical project details and reports in line with standard requirements, including drawings and calculations as applicable. Delegating as appropriate.
* Mentoring and nurturing your team of civil engineers and technicians
* Maintain exacting standards across all outputs ensuringaccuracy and appropriate presentation
* Getting involved and hands-on in technical design as required
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Structural or Civil Engineering
* 6+ years of industry/sector experience preferable
* Chartered or nearing chartership
* Strong knowledge of civil engineering and development infrastructure
* Be sectional agreement conversant (S38 S278 etc.)
* Experience in Civils3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, Autotrack, and/or Causeway etc
* Excellent report writing and communication skills
* Be based in Bristol or willing to commute
