Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) Salary: £46,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience) Shift Pattern: Continental Shifts (4 on 4 off, Days and Nights, 12 hour shifts) Overview: My client is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our team in a leading food manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of our production equipment, playing a key part in maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities: * Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across production equipment to ensure maximum uptime. * Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical faults. * Conduct routine checks, inspections, and repairs to identify potential issues before they cause downtime. * Support production teams in ensuring smooth operation and efficiency of manufacturing processes. * Implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance as required. * Work on electrical circuits, control panels, and instrumentation, while also addressing mechanical issues. * Provide technical support to operations and assist in process improvement initiatives. * Maintain and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. * Be part of a team that supports the continuous improvement of plant performance and operational reliability. Required Skills & Experience: * Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, ideally within a food manufacturing or similar fast-paced production environment. * Strong electrical background with experience in fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs. * Mechanical knowledge to support engineering work across various types of machinery. * Knowledge of PLC systems, electrical control panels, and automation. * Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure. * Experience working in a Continental shift pattern or willingness to work a rotating shift schedule. * A proactive attitude, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: * Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent). * Experience working with food manufacturing machinery is highly desirable.
