Salary details: Grade SMG, £70,614 - £76,256
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of General Aviation & Cargo to lead the development and delivery of our GA and cargo operations. This is a pivotal role focused on enhancing service delivery, growing commercial opportunities, and ensuring operational excellence across both sectors. Leading and managing all aspects of General Aviation and Cargo operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement strategic plans to grow GA and cargo activity in line with the airport’s masterplan.
* Build strong relationships with cargo operators, freight forwarders, GA stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
* Oversee infrastructure development and investment planning for GA and cargo facilities.
* Drive commercial performance through innovative service offerings and customer engagement.
* Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations, customs procedures, and environmental standards.
The successful Candidate:
We’re looking for a proven leader with experience in airport operations, logistics, or aviation management. Strong understanding of GA and cargo operations, including regulatory frameworks and commercial dynamics. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to operational delivery. Experience in infrastructure planning and capital project delivery is desirable.
Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure and Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) is required for appointment to this post. Confirmation of this appointment is also subject to a medical assessment.
