Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Needed in Preston
1. Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm + Saturday mornings on a rota basis (40 hours per week)
2. Salary: Up to £55,480 OTE per annum
3. Contract Type: Permanent
Our client, a highly respected main dealership, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their professional and expanding workshop team. Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician:
4. Carry out vehicle health checks using advanced diagnostic technology
5. Conduct servicing and repairs in line with manufacturer and company standards
6. Complete warranty and repair work efficiently and accurately
7. Road test vehicles to ensure all issues are resolved to a high standard
8. Maintain thorough and accurate service documentation
9. Ensure all work complies with safety and quality requirements
What We’re Looking For in a Vehicle Technician:
10. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
11. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or independent garage
12. Full UK driving licence (essential)
13. MOT licence preferred (desirable but not essential)
14. Diagnostic, MOT, and EV experience advantageous
15. A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship
