A warm, welcoming primary school in Tooting is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a lovely, supportive school that places strong emphasis on early development, nurture, and play-based learning.
About the Role:
You will be based within the school’s nursery, working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children at a crucial stage of their development. The role involves supporting learning through play, promoting independence, and helping to create a safe, stimulating and engaging environment for all pupils.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
* Working with individuals and small groups
* Assisting with daily routines, activities and observations
* Supporting children’s social, emotional and personal development
* Helping to maintain a calm, nurturing and inclusive nursery environment
* Working collaboratively with teachers, TAs and leadership
What We’re Looking For:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant (essential)
* Proven experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting
* A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
* A nurturing, patient and proactive approach
* Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
* A genuine passion for supporting young children
