Junior Legal Administrator / Assistant
We are recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our successful Abuse and Public Inquiries role in Manchester.
We’ll be handling a large number of cases and will chase medical reports, review records, and prepare trial bundles. Medical/treatment instructions will be managed, along with sending instructions to Counsel, paying disbursements, and drafting letters to clients. Other duties will include running retainers, assisting our Fee Earners with various tasks, reviewing CCTV, and booking legal hearings.
Administrative tasks such as arranging conferences, assisting with ledgers (client balances and aged debt), file transfers, and providing updates to our clients will also be part of the role.
Responsibilities
* Chase medical reports and review records
* Prepare trial bundles
* Manage medical/treatment instructions
* Send instructions to Counsel
* Pay disbursements and draft letters to clients

Qualifications
* Previous legal secretarial experience
* Law degree not required
