Job Title: Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant
Location: Littlehampton
Contract Type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 15:30
This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with previous SEN experience or a graduate with a keen interest in this area. It is the perfect position for someone seeking hands-on experience working with social, emotional, mental health needs.
The SEN LSA opportunity in Littlehampton focuses on raising attainment with children aged 4-11. As an LSA, you will be working in classes of 5-8 students, with a staff-to-student ratio of 1:1 for some students. This role offers restorative, therapeutic approaches to education and behaviour management. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
What is involved in the role:
* Assisting students academically and pastorally
* Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
* Encouraging the development of social skills and supporting students' individual needs
* Attending staff meetings and completing CPD
* Following safeguarding procedures
* Maintaining accurate individual student records
Responsibilities

Qualifications
* An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Psychology Graduates/Aspiring Educational Psychologist
* Education in English and Maths, Grade 5 / C and above (desirable)
* Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of learning and behavioural needs (SEN, SEMH, PRU, Cognitive Behaviours)
