Responsibilities
* Collaborate with other engineering teams and system architects to obtain product features from analysis to deployment phases.
* Implement the design in C and unit test all the software components.
* Verify and validate software system on target hardware.
* Perform the necessary software maintenance and give consultancy to users on the deployed software.
* Continuously develop new skills & techniques in software technologies to improve and reduce software development time and effort.
* Participate in the definition of the future products.
* Enhance infrastructures to hit performance and reliability metrics.
* Drive data-driven decisions through metrics, experimentation, and experience.
* Own problems end-to-end, thinking through everything from user experience, data models, scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics.
* Mentor teammates and contribute to the growth of individuals and the overall team.
* Craft our long-term technical vision with high standards and align with business directions.
* Influence the organization culture by challenging the status quo, think different and being ever curious.
Requirements
* Knowledge in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent
* More than 5 years of experience in embedded system software development, RTOS and/or Linux.
* Good understanding of low-level device drivers like CAN, UART or SPI.
* Solid programming skill in C/C++.
* Good understanding of unit testing.
* Demonstrate a hunger for new knowledge and the ability to quickly source, test and demo ideas.
* Excellent communicator and able to thrive in a fluid, flexible and innovative environment
* Experience in agile software development and embedded system product development from power-on to full functional system.
* Understands hardware, able to read schematics and data sheets.
* Must be interested in space / satellites / remote imagining.
Working location: Ang Mo Kio. Singaporeans only.
