JOB TITLE: Pre-Sales Consultant - Embedded Finance
SALARY: £76,000 – £93,000 (dependent on experience)
LOCATIONS: Basildon / Birmingham / Bristol / Edinburgh / Glasgow / Leeds / Manchester
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites or working at our client sites.

We partner with leading technology providers to create solutions that meet our merchants' needs. Merchant Services is a vital part of LBG, contributing to Helping Britain Prosper. We aim to be #1 for service amongst our peers in Commercial Banking, which is one of our fastest-growing areas.
The Sales Engineering team plays a critical role in supporting our largest clients by offering pre-sale and post-sale support, understanding client problems, and providing tailored solutions.
The pre-sales consultant will support the sale of our acquiring platform and embedded finance solutions, primarily focusing on embedded finance, with a good understanding of all payments and ecommerce providers being advantageous.
You will collaborate with our commercial team to understand merchant needs and advise on solutions.
You will demonstrate a proactive approach and work with large, complex clients across various sectors, building strong relationships internally and externally.
Key Accountabilities
* Support early engagement with potential clients by providing technical overviews of solutions.
* Guide merchants on implementation strategies that meet their and consumers' needs while ensuring compliance.
* Coordinate operational proposals and plans with clients for seamless integration, managing costs and expectations.
* Collaborate with clients on implementation decisions to maximize benefits.
* Act as a technical SME for growth initiatives and strategic projects.
* Use data and insights to recommend solutions and solve problems.
* Make operational and commercial judgments regarding system integrations and industry changes.
* Work with our Lab team to develop custom solutions when out-of-the-box options do not meet client needs.

What You'll Need
Significant experience in embedded finance, merchant acquiring, or payment gateways in a client-facing role, with full support provided to learn about our business. Key skills include:
* Experience working with corporate clients and partners, including third parties.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
* Attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and cases.
* Curiosity and tenacity in problem-solving.
* Preparation of statistical data for presentations.
* Ability to work under pressure, negotiate effectively, and communicate clearly.
