Our client, a fastgrowing organisation within the packaging and manufacturing industry, is seeking a Graphic Design Studio Assistant to join their UK studio on a temporary basis for 3 months, with strong potential to move into a permanent role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kickstart or develop a longterm career in graphic design - ideal for a graphic design graduate or earlycareer designer who's enthusiastic, motivated and eager to grow within a supportive studio environment.
⭐ About the Role
As the Graphic Design Studio Assistant, you will support the Graphic Design Studio Manager in the coordination, creation and delivery of packaging and label artwork. You'll help to run the daytoday studio operations, assist with artwork workflows, and produce highquality inhouse samples.
No prior studio experience is required - full training is provided, and you'll gain handson exposure to industrystandard processes, tools and print technologies.
️ Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations & Management
1. Assist with daily studio operations, including printing and forming UKmade product samples.
2. Support checks to ensure packaging meets relevant guidelines and certification requirements.
3. Help implement artwork management systems such as Ziflow to improve workflow, approvals and file sharing.
4. Maintain accurate project tracking and version control using systems like Ziflow and Asana.
5. Review thirdparty artwork for accuracy, consistency and print readiness.
Project & Communication Responsibilities
6. Serve as a key point of contact for packaging and label design projects.
7. Liaise confidently with internal teams, external customers and global partners.
8. Translate design requests into clear and accurate briefs for manufacturing partners.
Design Knowledge, Trends & Technology
9. Stay up to date with software, design developments and industry trends.
10. Maintain a basic understanding of how AI can support product visualisation.
11. Keep informed on traditional printing methods and new technologies.
12. Continually learn about new design tools, processes and best practice.
Skills Development
13. Build new creative and technical skills including animation and 3D image creation.
14. Gain practical, handson studio experience to grow as a professional designer.
Key Skills & Competencies
15. Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
16. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
17. Confident communicator across varied stakeholders.
18. Comfortable with packaging/label design concepts and image editing.
19. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator).
20. Understanding of digital, flexographic or offset printing is a bonus - not essential.
